Executive Committee Retreat

Our trip last year to Cape Cod was awesome!  The airfares to Boston are not quite as affordable this year & more of us are working at outside jobs now (as opposed to PTA which is the best job in the World!)  Heather has been checking out a weekend retreat to Las Vegas!  Keep us posted Heather!  I'm game!  (Bad choice of words?)  It will be a good way to get to know each other better, do some planning while having some fun at the same time!

I'll keep searching for the best deal. Just so we all know what I'm looking for: I'm looking at May 19-22nd, lowest air fare or air fare and hotel combination (possibly vacation packages are the way to go? I don't know yet) I'm looking for a hotel on the Strip with airport shuttles so that we don't need to rent a car - we can walk to wherever we need to go, and when I'm looking at rooms I'm looking at those that sleep 3-4 people so we can split the costs (for instance, a room that costs $250/night would be $62.50/night if 4 of us were staying in there).

If anyone has suggestions, requests, recommendations (I haven't lived in Vegas since I was 7!) let me know! I'm hoping this will be a blast. How many of us are up to going on this excursion?

like my smiley in honor of Las Vegas?

Isn't it awesome that our PTA officers are able to plan a get-away retreat each year!  I have officially invited our alumni - Deb & Barb.  I have called upon them many times this year as president for their guidance & wisdom.

Thanks everyone!

I personally think it's pretty awesome that we are all so different - some older moms, some younger moms, some with their youngest child at SV, some with their oldest, some working moms and some stay-at-home moms - and yet, we're all friends and able to work together so well in the interests of the kids through PTA. I especially like that we're able to socialize and be friends outside of meetings and committee situations. I think that's what makes our little blue school so unique. What a great community we have!
