Heather's Pumpkin Dip - Wednesday, November 02, 2005

1/2 medium tub Cool Whip
1/2 small tub sour cream
One large can pumpkin pie mix
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix all in bowl adjusting sugar and spices to taste. Serve with fruit or cinnamon *tortilla chips. For a nice presentation, serve the chilled dip in a hollowed out small pumpkin.

*tortilla chips can be made by taking flour tortillas and cutting them into triangles, spritzing them with water, sprinkling them with cinnamon-sugar then baking them at 350 until light-brown.

Special K Bars - Friday, November 04, 2005

Here is a recipe that has been requested of me from an earlier PTA meeting:

Bring 1 cup sugar and 1 cup Karo syrup to a boil, remove from heat. Add 1 cup peanut butter stir until melted. Mix in 6 cups Special K cereal, stir until coated.

Put into a well greased 13x9 pan.

In a microwave safe bowl combine 1 pkg choc. chips, and 1 pkg butterscotch chips. Microwave, stirring every minute until melted.

Pour over cereal mixture, let choc. mixture set. Cut into squares.
